Does SoilWicks undertake the design of prefabricated vertical drains?

No. SoilWicks only undertakes the supply and installation of prefabricated vertical drains. Although SoilWicks does not offer design services, the company is happy to engage with design and tender teams during the project planning phase to make sure constructability and program requirements are achievable. SoilWicks was a member of the Subcommittee involved in the development of Australian Standard AS 8700 – 2011 Execution of Prefabricated Vertical Drains.

Can SoilWicks PVD installation rigs walk under structures such as bridges and power lines without the need for the mast to be disassembled and reassembled?

Yes. SoilWicks PVD installation rigs can lower their mast and travel with the mast in the lowered position.

Can SoilWicks undertake any other works aside from the supply and installation of PVDs?

Yes. Although SoilWicks’ core business is the supply and installation of prefabricated vertical drains, SoilWicks also has the experience and capacity to undertake a variety of other works as well. This includes but is not limited to:

• The supply and installation of settlement plates
• The supply and installation of geotextile fabric
• Construction of the drainage blanket / working platform
• Earthworks
• Stormwater drainage
• Reclamation / work area drainage
