All of SoilWicks’ seven PVD installation rigs are fitted with industry leading computerised measuring and recording systems that provide the installation details of each installed PVD.
In addition to this, each rig is also fitted with a RTK GPS system that records the installed location of each wick drain to within 50mm. This technology combined with SoilWicks’ comprehensive reporting systems mean that all PVD installations can be quickly and easily verified against the requirements of the design specification.
SoilWicks’ installation rigs are of varying size and maximum installation depths. Our largest rig is capable of installing to a maximum depth of 45m.
