All of SoilWicks’ seven Prefabricated Vertical Wick Drain machinery installation rigs are fitted with industry leading computerised measuring and recording systems that provide the installation details of each installed PVD.
All of Soilwicks Plant Equipment is state of the art and effectively managed to maintain its safety and productivity.
Each rig is fitted with a RTK GPS system that records the installed location of each wick drain to within 50mm. This technology combined with SoilWicks’ comprehensive reporting systems mean that all PVD installations can be quickly and easily verified against the requirements of the design specification.
SoilWicks’ Prefabricated Vertical Wick Drain machinery installation rigs are of varying size and maximum installation depths. Our largest rig is capable of installing to a maximum depth of 45m.

Capability Statement.
Fundamental to the success of the Company’s operations is its fleet of purpose built PVD installation machines. All of SoilWicks Australia’s installation machines consist of a hydraulic excavator combined with a PVD Installation Mast. The PVD Installation Mast consists of a hydraulic powered cable driven mandrel with an associated supporting mast and supporting mast connection frame. Developed and refined over the Company’s time in operation, SoilWicks Australia’s excavator based installation machines offer the following advantages:
